Waking Life/ Overpainting Self Portrait
Description: Using learned painting skills, redraw or paint yourself in the style of an artist of your choice. You should not see any of the original photograph.Examples: Robert Linklater’s Waking Life, Holly Roberts, Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Chuck Close
Bring your final file to class, we will print it in class.

Learn the names of the tools on the Photoshop Toolbar.

Find a digital Artist on the web you really like. Have that name for class next week.

Scan a black and white, and color negative outside of class. Bring them to class next week with corrected levels,curves, and color casts.

For the final you must have your files with layers downsampled to 72 dpi on a cd. I would also like a web gallery of your work-use the simple one. You must have a written statement about your work "project statement". All prints must look professional (white border on 13x19 paper or matts)
